Huatabampito

Yesterday we left San Carlos and drove to Huatabampito, (the "H" is always silent in spanish).
Come on Ralph throw the ball
The ua makes a " W " sound, give it a go...   That's very close. ; -)

It was about a 4 hour drive, this includes a fuel stop, and a fish stop. The fish stop was at the house of a local fishermen that we (Cathie) had tracked down after talking with a local restaurant owner.

We picked up the fresh seafood and then contiunued to the campsite. After watching the sun do what it does every night, we cooked up a delicious fish dinner complete with baby potatoes and asparagus. Ralph and Illona had prawns, with all the trimmings, smells like they were good too.
Watching the sunset

The morning fog has burned off, the breeze is light, the Sea of Cortez is calm, Cathie is reading, Kona resting, Ray checking his van, Lydia is journaling, Ralph and Illona are on dolphin / whale watch duty. This is a stress free zone. At this afternoons board meeting we will discuss whether we should stay here another couple days or head south. Indeed some very big decisions to make. I think a swim is also scheduled.

Kona says the water is warm and it's fun to run fast on the sand. There's a few other dogs here he likes to play with, but he has kind of toned it down a little as well.
