Meet Hazel.

This page is about Hazel and her upgrades

Where to start, well first thing I did was tint the windows, This really helps keep it cooler in the van, plus it looks cool, and gives us some privacy.

Next we needed more shelving and storage, so I removed the top bed and added some drawers. Then I added some shelves to the cloths closet, and now its a pantry.

Next was to add a hinge to the back table so we would have access to the pantry.

The rear view mirror was really only good for seeing my cloths closet in the back, and blocking my view looking forward, so I removed it, and remounted it down low on the dash. It works better there.
Other mods in the cab were to add a map tray to the passenger / navigator door, new stereo and speakers, and of course coffee cup holders. Oil pressure gauge too.

Building the shower was a fun project, Roy helped me source the right size and type of pump, plus found me the metal pipe.
It works great, unless you like morning showers. :-(  I can even use the pump to fill the reservoir.
The exhaust system, was starting to go, and when I spotted this tuned stainless steel system on line, I just had to have one. It does add a little power, and we need all we can get. Plus it sounds cool.

After seeing a couple vans with 16 " wheels I just had to get a set of these too. With the AT tires we have great traction, and the added clearance is nice too.

I can hardly wait to do some sock sliding on the new laminate floor.

I also changed Cathies closet door to a sliding style. This is way more functional then the old swinging door that you could not open when the bedding was in the way.

We also have a propane heater, we don't really need it in Mexico, but it has come in handy on a few fall and spring camping trips. The 2000 watt inverter provides power for essentials like  the margarita maker,

Well that's it for Hazel, until I think of something else that we may need. Oh, we are getting a nice new awning in Phoenix :-)
