Here we are, living off the grid, on
the Beach at Teacapan, about 2 hrs. south of Mazatlan.
Camp at Teacapan,.... Yes that is our beach. |
Ray is running
his solar panel and our solar shower is on the high setting. Propane
fridge's are keeping the afternoon refreshments at a pleasant 4C.
Everyone has gone for a swim or two today, Kona has had about twenty
and is now doing some maintenance under Hazel. He didn't even join
me on my last swim... dog tired.
Last night we went to town to check out
the carnival, I always enjoy going to the centros, visiting the
towns, and meeting a few local people. Last night three girls, that
had an average age of less then 5, came up to us and offered us some
beautiful peppers. Cathie explained that we did not want to buy any
right now, and they looked puzzled. The girls said they were a gift,
so we graciously accepted them. They just wanted to be welcoming to
us. They were delicious in the guacamole.
We ran into a little trouble on the way
home, as you probably heard if you watch Fox news or read the papers.
It's not all true and been blown out of proportion. I can not name
names at this time as its all in the courts, but here is a photo I
received from one of my poperaztie reporters.
Before arriving here we stayed a few
days at Celestino Gasca, just north of Mazatlan. What a great spot,
Villa Celestino.
The owner, Noah, had us in stitches as he told stories of visiting Canada in the winter. Noah spent close to a year in Saskatchewan and had many stories of his adventures.

As you can imagine..., us guys were
really in a panic with Valentines day coming and neither of us had started finished our shopping. We were sure relieved when we heard the gals
had purchased a Valentine dinner. Noah and his wife prepared a
delicious chicken dinner for us and about 18 others. A very nice Valentine evening.
We had a chance to check out the boogie boards at Celestino Gasca. One of many amazing animals we have spotted.
And here is another.
Cooks making breakfast back at Huatabampito, Kona helps too.
Evening meeting at Celestino Gasca.
Kona and Tika hamming it up.
Living off the grid you may wonder what we do for water.
Ray was able to source us some water.
Can you believe the exercise equipment we have on the beach.
And yoga is practiced as well.
We are now in Chacala, and I will push my reporters for a good Chacala story soon. Tomorrow Dennis and Kathi Swenson coming for a visit, so that will be lots of fun.
